WHAT IT IS

TPO Single-Ply Roofing Membrane is a thermoplastic polyolefin flat-roof membrane used on commercial and industrial rooftops in Malaysian construction. Manufactured to ASTM D6878 (Standard Specification for Thermoplastic Polyolefin Roofing). Available in roll widths of 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0 m; lengths 15–25 m per roll; thickness 1.14 mm (45 mil), 1.52 mm (60 mil), or 2.03 mm (80 mil). White or light-coloured top surface provides cool-roof solar reflectance, reducing building cooling loads in Malaysia's tropical climate. Seams are heat-welded without open flame, eliminating torch-on fire risk. Installed by mechanical fastening or full adhesion. Increasingly preferred over torch-on bituminous membranes for new-build flat roofs.
