WHAT IT IS

Fibre reinforcement tape for wall crack repair is a polyester or glass fibre mesh tape, 50–75 mm wide, used for embedding in render or coating layers over hairline cracks, construction joints, and weak-plane junctions in masonry walls in Malaysian construction and renovation. Available in 490 m / 1,600 ft rolls or per-metre cuts, it bridges cracks and distributes stress to prevent reflective cracking in fresh plaster or render. Applied with a compatible bonding agent or acrylic coating, it is used in both new construction and renovation projects — particularly at wall-to-wall and wall-to-slab junctions prone to cracking in Malaysia's tropical thermal cycling. Also known as urofibre, crack repair tape, pita gentian tampalan retak, and 裂缝修补纤维布.
