WHAT IT IS

Concrete set accelerator is a chemical admixture used to speed up hydration and accelerate early strength gain of concrete in Malaysian construction. Classified as Type C (accelerating) or Type E (water-reducing and accelerating) per MS EN 934-2:2012, it reduces initial setting time versus the control mix. Chloride-free formulations are mandatory for reinforced and prestressed concrete to prevent corrosion of embedded steel. Used in precast manufacture for rapid mould turnover, repair works requiring quick return to service, and situations requiring early formwork striking. Available in 25 L jerry cans and 200 L drums.
