WHAT IT IS

Zinc / GI U-roll step flashing is a press-formed hot-dip galvanised U-channel or step-profile piece used as valley flashing at the internal angle where two roof slopes meet, and as step flashing at the junction between a roof slope and a vertical wall in Malaysian metal deck and corrugated GI roofing. Piece size is 12 in wide (step-cut); gauge G22–G30; sold per piece or per linear metre run. The U-roll profile collects rainwater at the valley and channels it into gutters, preventing wind-driven monsoon rain from infiltrating behind wall cladding.
