WHAT IT IS

PPGI metal roofing sheet is a pre-painted galvanised steel panel used as the primary roof cladding for industrial, commercial, and low-cost residential buildings in Malaysia. Produced in trapezoidal or corrugated profiles — including Trimdek (NS BlueScope Lysaght) and Ajiya Hi-Ten — the base steel is G550 high-tensile or DX51D with Z275 zinc coating (275 g/m²). Paint system is PVDF or polyester topcoat to AS 1397 / ASTM A755. Sheet width coverage 762–1000 mm (profile-dependent); lengths custom-cut 2–12 m; base metal thickness 0.42–0.55 mm BMT. Minimum roof pitch 3°–5° for trapezoidal profiles. Lightweight, fast to install, and available in multiple colours. Also known as atap zink, atap besi, or Spandek in the local trade.
