WHAT IT IS

Rock Wool (Mineral Wool) Roof Insulation is a non-combustible stone-fibre thermal insulation product used beneath or within metal roofing systems in Malaysian buildings to reduce heat gain and sound transmission. Manufactured to MS 1020 (Thermal insulation products — mineral wool), density ranges 24–80 kg/m³ depending on application. Thermal conductivity λ ≈ 0.033–0.040 W/m·K. Supplied as rolls (1.2 m wide, 10–20 m lengths) or slabs (600 × 1200 mm); thickness 25, 50, 75, or 100 mm. Rated non-combustible A1 class, providing passive fire resistance. Widely used in industrial sheds, commercial roofs, and under single-skin or double-skin metal deck systems. Sold per m².
