Dowel bar sleeve and end cap is a plastic (HDPE) assembly placed over one end of a smooth steel dowel bar at concrete slab expansion joints. The sleeve debonds that end of the dowel from the surrounding concrete while the end cap creates an axial void that permits controlled thermal expansion and slab shrinkage movement. The smooth dowel still transfers vertical shear load across the joint. Standard diameter 20 mm; lengths 150–400 mm. Used in concrete floors, industrial pavements, and car park decks throughout Malaysia. Sold per piece (sleeve + end cap).
