WHAT IT IS

SBR latex concrete bonding agent is a styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) emulsion used to bond new concrete or mortar to existing substrates and to improve the performance of repair mortars, floor screeds, and rendering mixes in Malaysian construction. Applied as a diluted slurry coat (1:1 SBR to water) to receive fresh concrete or mortar, or added to the mortar mix at 1:2 to 1:4 dilution. Increases tensile adhesion, abrasion resistance, and water resistance of cement-based mixes. Widely specified for repair mortars, tiling substrates, and waterproof screeds across Malaysian projects. Available in 20 L pails and 200 L drums.
