WHAT IT IS

Cork expansion joint fillerboard (NEC / resin-bonded) is a pre-formed filler of natural cork granules bonded with bitumen or phenol-formaldehyde resin, placed between concrete elements at expansion joints in floors, walls, bridges, and retaining structures in Malaysia. Available in sheets of 610 mm (W) × 915 mm (L) in thicknesses of 10–25 mm, it provides elastic compressibility and water resistance through its natural cellular cork structure. Meeting ASTM D1751 or BS 1195 criteria for pre-formed expansion joint fillers, it is a proven long-service alternative to polyethylene foam fillerboards where traditional or specification-compliant materials are required. Also known as cork filler, N.E.C cork board, papan gabus pengembangan, and 软木填缝板.
