WHAT IT IS

Roof tile translucent skylight tile is a profile-matched clear or translucent insert that replaces one or more field tiles in a clay or fibre cement tile roof to admit natural daylight into the roof cavity or occupied space below in Malaysian construction. Made from injection-moulded or vacuum-formed polycarbonate or reinforced fibreglass; UV-stabilised with typical light transmission of 70–85%. Available to match popular Malaysian tile profiles including S-pantile, Elabana, Nordica, and Trilon. Sold per piece; profile and colour must be ordered to exactly match the installed tile series. Commonly specified for Malaysian terraced house roof spaces and covered corridors where artificial lighting would otherwise be required during daytime.
