TIMBER
Meranti sawn timber (Shorea spp.) is the most widely used structural hardwood in Malaysian construction, covering roof trusses, rafters, purlins, door and window frames, general carpentry, and site hoarding. Graded to MTIB Malaysian Grading Rules (MGR 2009) at Select and Better, No.1 Common, or No.2 Common. Structural design follows MS 544-2:2017. Standard commercial lengths 3.0–6.0 m; common sections 50×100 mm, 50×150 mm, 100×100 mm. Sold in bundles by m³ or per piece. Species: Dark Red Meranti, Light Red Meranti, Meranti Bakau. Natural durability Class 3–4 (heartwood); preservative treatment required for external or ground-contact use. Also known as kayu meranti. HS 4407251200 · import duty 0% · SST 5%.
