Aluminium Roof Flashing is a pre-formed or site-bent aluminium sheet component used to seal junctions between roof coverings and walls, chimneys, valleys, and penetrations against water ingress in Malaysian construction. Classified under HS 7610909900, import duty 25%, SST 5%. Formed from aluminium sheet (alloy 1100, 3003, or 5052); thickness 0.55–0.9 mm; supplied in 2.4 m or 3 m lengths; unformed width 150–300 mm. Types include apron flashing, soaker flashing, valley flashing, and step flashing, each addressing specific roof-to-wall or roof-to-roof junctions. Compatible with concrete and clay interlocking tiles as well as metal roofing sheets. An essential BoQ line item for every pitched roof project. Available natural mill or pre-painted.
