WHAT IT IS

Acrylic skim coat (exterior waterproof, polymer-modified) is a fine-textured polymer-modified cementitious coating used to fill micro-porosity, level minor surface defects, and provide a smooth water-resistant base for exterior paint on Malaysian building facades. Applied by trowel or squeegee at 1–2 mm thickness over concrete, masonry, and fibre cement substrates. Acrylic polymer content improves adhesion and flexibility over plain cement skim, resisting the thermal cycling and heavy monsoon rainfall typical in Malaysia. Available in 5 kg and 25 kg bags or pails. Suited for new construction facades, ACP panel reveals, and facade refurbishment projects before topcoat application.
