INSULATION
Expanded polystyrene (EPS) boards are lightweight closed-cell thermal insulation panels with thermal conductivity of approximately 0.031-0.038 W/m K. Used in Malaysia for roof insulation under metal deck or above concrete slab, external wall insulation systems (EIFS/ETICS), and cold-room construction. Product performance referenced against MS EN 13163 or ASTM C578. Density 10-30 kg/m3. Energy-efficiency framing per MS 2680:2017 and MS 1525:2019. Must be protected by appropriate facing as inherently combustible. Standard sheets 2440 mm x 1220 mm; thickness 25-150 mm. Sold per m2. Also called EPS board, papan EPS, or papan polistirena.
Typical pack size: Standard sheet 2440 × 1220 mm or 1000 × 500 mm; thickness 25–150 mm
Expanded polystyrene per MS EN 13163 (factory-made EPS products — specification) or ASTM C578. Thermal conductivity λ ≈ 0.031–0.038 W/m·K. Density 10–30 kg/m³ typical. Fire performance: inherently combustible — must be protected by appropriate facing. Energy-efficiency framing per MS 2680:2017 and MS 1525:2019.
