WHAT IT IS

Rockwool (stone wool) and glasswool are non-combustible mineral wool insulation boards manufactured by melting rock or glass and spinning into fibres. They provide thermal insulation, fire resistance (Euroclass A1/A2), and acoustic performance in one product. Complies with MS 1020 (factory-made mineral fibre thermal insulation material); CIDB Schedule 4 regulated product under Act 520. Typical density 40-80 kg/m3 for building boards. Available in boards 600 mm x 1200 mm or 600 mm x 1000 mm; thickness 25-100 mm. Sold per m2. Also called batu wul, wul mineral, glasswool, or mineral wool board.
