Formwork tie rod accessories are the consumable plastic and steel components that complete a through-wall tie assembly. Plastic cones create tapered voids through formwork panel faces; inner spreader units set the net wall thickness between opposing panels; hexagonal or tie nuts tension the rod from outside each panel face. Rubber waterstop rings and waterstop-centre units are specified for basement and water-retaining structures to seal the tie-rod penetration against groundwater migration after the rod is withdrawn.
