WHAT IT IS

Crystalline waterproofing admixture is an active chemical waterproofing system used to permanently seal concrete capillary pores and hairline cracks in Malaysian below-ground and water-retaining structures. Applied as a surface-coat slurry or incorporated as an admixture at 1.0–2.0% by weight of cement, active chemicals react with water and cement hydrates to generate insoluble calcium silicate hydrate crystals. Self-healing capability activates whenever moisture is present, sealing hairline cracks up to approximately 0.4 mm. Performance is typically evaluated per ACI 212.3R.
