SMART SWITCHABLE GLASS
PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) smart film is a self-adhesive, retrofittable switchable film that makes existing glass alternate between opaque (frosted, OFF state) and transparent (ON state) via electrical current. Used in Malaysian meeting rooms, hospital wards, hotel bathrooms, residential glass doors, and premium partitions. Operates at 110–220V AC with power draw under 6 W/m²; controlled by switch, dimmer, remote, or automation system. Haze ≥75% when opaque; VLT typically 70–80% when clear. Must be installed and wired by a qualified electrician. Malaysian suppliers include Chiefway Malaysia and Smart Curtain Malaysia. HS 3920629100 · import duty 20% · SST 10%.
