TIMBER
Chengal (Neobalanocarpus heimii) is one of Malaysia's most prized hardwoods, valued for exceptional natural durability that enables outdoor use without chemical treatment. Classified as the most durable Malaysian commercial timber for outdoor and marine applications. Used for marine structures, jetties, outdoor decking, bridges, and heritage building restoration. Grade A planed (S4S or E4E). High natural oil content provides excellent resistance to decay, marine borers, and weathering. Supply is increasingly restricted due to the species' slow growth and controlled harvesting. HS 4407299900 · import duty 0% · SST 5%.
