WHAT IT IS

Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) is a specialised ready-mixed concrete that flows and consolidates under its own weight without mechanical vibration, used for congested reinforcement zones and architectural elements in Malaysian construction. Conforming to MS EN 206:2018, SCC is typically designed to G30–G50 characteristic strength with slump-flow class SF2 (660–750 mm) or SF3 (760–850 mm). High superplasticiser content and a low water-cement ratio enable flow into densely reinforced columns, deep wall sections, and locations where vibration access is restricted. Delivered by transit mixer; minimum order typically 3–5 m³. CIDB/SIRIM regulated as a special mix. Also known as self-consolidating concrete, no-vibration concrete, and konkrit SCC.
