WIRE MESH
Rib lath (hy-rib plastering mesh) is a cold-formed, ribbed expanded mild steel sheet used as a mechanical key substrate for plaster, render, and gypsum finishes on ceilings, soffits, partition walls, and column casings in Malaysian construction. Standard sheets measure 2 ft × 7 ft (610×2134 mm), with raised ribs providing a mechanical lock that prevents plaster separation and delamination. Typically supplied in galvanised form for durability. Also known as lat plaster or hy-rib mesh locally. HS 7314490000 · import duty 5% · SST 0%. Widely used in commercial and industrial buildings for suspended plaster ceilings and curved feature wall construction.
