WIRE MESH
Expanded metal mesh is produced by simultaneously slitting and stretching a mild steel (or stainless steel) sheet to form a rigid, open diamond-pattern grid without any welds or joints. Available in 4×8 ft (1219×2438 mm) sheets with varying strand widths and apertures. Used in Malaysia as plastering lath behind cement render and stucco, as anti-slip flooring treads on industrial platforms, as machine guards and safety screens, and as security grille infill panels. Also known as mesh kembang or logam kembang. HS 7314500000 · import duty 5% · SST 10%. The one-piece construction makes it stronger than welded wire at equivalent weight.
Typical pack size: 4 × 8 ft (1219 × 2438 mm) sheets; strand thickness and mesh opening vary
