WHAT IT IS

Mild steel universal beams (UB) and universal columns (UC) are hot-rolled wide-flange I-sections used as primary structural members in steel-framed buildings, bridges, and industrial structures in Malaysia. UBs are optimised for bending loads in floor and roof beams (serial sizes 152–610 mm depth); UCs carry predominantly axial column loads (serial sizes 152–356 mm).
