WHAT IT IS

Cementitious plastering bonding agent is a liquid SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) or acrylic polymer primer applied to smooth, low-porosity, or contaminated surfaces before plastering, rendering, or skim coating in Malaysian construction. Brushed or rolled onto glossy concrete soffits, existing tiles, or old painted walls, it dries to a tacky film that creates a mechanical and chemical key preventing delamination of the fresh plaster or skim layer. Available in 5 L and 20 L pails; coverage 4–8 m²/L. Essential at junctions where direct adhesion is insufficient. Also traded as bonding bridge, concrete bonding agent, SBR bonding agent, ejen ikatan, and praimer pelekatan.
