WHAT IT IS

A mortise lockset is installed in a pocket (mortise) cut into the door edge, combining a latchbolt and a deadbolt in a single case. More robust than cylindrical locks; the standard choice for commercial offices, hotel rooms, and quality residential doors in Malaysia. Requires minimum door stile width of 110 mm. Backset 65 mm or 75 mm; case depth 76 mm. Body: zinc alloy die-cast or solid brass; handles: SS304 stainless steel or zinc alloy; cylinder: 6-pin tumbler. Higher specification: BS EN 12209 compliant.
