WHAT IT IS

Thin-joint block mortar is a polymer-modified cementitious dry mortar used to lay AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) and other precision-manufactured lightweight blocks with bed joint thicknesses of only 1–3 mm in Malaysian construction. The fine particle size and extended open time allow accurate positioning of blocks, while the minimal joint thickness reduces thermal bridging through the wall compared to conventional 10 mm sand-cement beds. Compressive strength of the joint exceeds that of the AAC block itself at standard dosage. Supplied in 25 kg and 40 kg bags, mixed with water on site. HS 3824400000 · import duty 0% · SST 10%.
