POWER TOOLS
A rotary hammer (SDS drill) combines a pneumatic hammer mechanism with rotary drilling to penetrate concrete, masonry, and stone — the standard tool for anchor installation, MEP service chasing, and structural drilling on Malaysian construction sites. In demolition-only mode (rotation off), it chisels, chips, and breaks concrete and masonry. SDS-Plus models (up to 26 mm bore, 1.5–5.0 J impact energy, 600–1,100 W) handle light-to-medium drilling; SDS-Max demolition hammers (up to 50 mm bore, 8–25 J, 1,100–1,750 W) perform heavy breaking. SIRIM product safety certification required for tools sold in Malaysia.
Typical pack size: Single unit; SDS-Plus (up to 26 mm bore), SDS-Max (up to 50 mm bore) or hex-shank demolition hammer
No specific Malaysian Standard. SDS-Plus rotary hammer: motor 600–1,100 W, impact energy 1.5–5.0 J, 0–4,000 BPM. SDS-Max demolition hammer: motor 1,100–1,750 W, impact energy 8–25 J. SIRIM product safety certification required.
