A cut-off machine (chop saw) is a bench-mounted power tool with a pivoting abrasive or diamond wheel for making precise straight cuts through steel bars, pipe, angle iron, conduit, and structural sections on Malaysian construction sites. The 355 mm (14") abrasive wheel to EN 12413 spins at 3,800–4,100 RPM from a 2,000–2,200 W motor. Cutting capacity: round bar up to 130 mm, angle iron up to 100 × 100 mm, pipe up to 100 mm OD. An abrasive disc cuts ferrous metals; a diamond disc cuts masonry and tiles. Integral wheel guard is mandatory. Standard fabrication and rebar preparation tool on structural concrete and steel projects.
