AGGREGATE
Quarry dust (stone dust) is the fine residual material generated during granite quarrying and stone crushing, with particle size typically below 4.75 mm. In Malaysian construction it serves as a partial fine aggregate substitute in low-grade mortar and blockmaking, as pipe-bedding and compacted fill beneath paving, and as a brick-joint filler. More economical than river sand but requires careful proportioning to avoid excess fines affecting concrete workability. Supplied bulk by lorry load or in 15 kg bags. HS 2517100000 · import duty 0% · SST 0%. Distinct from engineered manufactured sand (M-sand). Also known locally as habuk kuari or habuk batu.
