PLASTER
Cornice compound and plasterboard joint filler is a setting-type gypsum or polymer-modified powder used in Malaysian drywall and cornice installation to tape and finish board joints, fill corner bead flanges, and fix gypsum cornice strips. Unlike air-dry compounds, the chemical setting reaction produces a hard, low-shrinkage fill with typical setting time of 30–60 minutes. Sold in 20 kg bags; industry reference EN 13963 (Jointing materials for gypsum boards). Classified under HS 2520209000 · import duty 20% · SST 5%. Used by gypsum board contractors throughout Malaysia for skimboard systems and suspended ceiling cornices. Also traded as joint compound, drywall compound, kompaun kornis, and 嵌缝石膏.
