WHAT IT IS

Premix cement render (base coat plaster) is a factory-blended dry mortar used as a wall levelling substrate before skim coat or painting in Malaysian construction. Combining Portland cement, graded fine sand, and polymer additives, it is mixed on site with water and applied to brick, AAC block, or concrete block walls at 6–15 mm thickness in one or two coats. Available in 25 kg and 40 kg bags, coverage runs approximately 10–20 kg/m² depending on coat thickness. Suitable for both interior and exterior walls in Malaysia's high-humidity tropical climate, polymer modification improves bond strength and reduces shrinkage cracking compared to plain cement-sand mixes. Also traded as base plaster, render undercoat, quick render, plaster asas, and render simen.
