WHAT IT IS

Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) Standard E1 is an engineered wood panel made from wood fibres bonded with resin under heat and pressure, manufactured for dry interior conditions in Malaysian construction and furniture applications. Density 600–800 kg/m³ to EN 622-5 (type MDF). Formaldehyde emission class E1 (≤9 mg/100 g per EN 120). Standard sheet 2440 × 1220 mm (8′ × 4′); thicknesses 3 mm to 25 mm — HS 4411140000 applies to thickness exceeding 9 mm (the dominant commercial range). Uniform density and smooth surface suit furniture carcasses, cabinetry, shelving, moulding, and interior joinery. Not suitable for wet or high-humidity areas without MR-grade upgrade.
