SITE CONSUMABLES
Polypropylene (PP) and nylon (polyamide) construction ropes are standard consumables on Malaysian building sites. Used for bundling and securing materials; erecting safety barricades; tying back scaffold tubes; rigging and lifting light loads; and safety tie-off lines. PP rope is lightweight, rot-resistant, and floats on water, making it suitable for drainage and flood-related work; nylon rope offers higher elongation and better UV resistance. Available in diameters from 6 mm to 24 mm, sold per metre, in 100 m coils, or 200 m coils. Braided and 3-strand twisted constructions available.
Typical pack size: Sold per metre, 100 m coil, or 200 m coil; diameters 6–24 mm
Braided or twisted 3-strand polypropylene (PP) or polyamide (nylon) rope. MBL (minimum breaking load) varies by diameter and construction. Used for tie-off, bundling, scaffolding tie-back, safety lines, and material handling on construction sites.
