WHAT IT IS

PVC canvas tarpaulin is a heavy-duty PVC-coated polyester fabric used where standard PE tarps are insufficient. In Malaysian construction it covers lorry loads, forms hoarding face panels on perimeter scaffolds, encloses scaffold bays on high-rise projects, and provides long-duration weather protection. GSM typically 400–700 g/m². More durable and fire-retardant than woven PE tarps, with superior tear strength and UV resistance. Common sizes 3 m × 4 m to 10 m × 15 m, sold per piece. Known as terpal PVC or kanvas PVC on local hardware markets.
