Precast Concrete U-Drain (U-Channel Drain)

WHAT IT IS

Precast reinforced concrete U-drain sections (U-channel drains) are specified by JKR for roadside, housing estate, and industrial surface water drainage throughout Malaysia. The rectangular U profile handles higher flow volumes than the half-round form and accepts standard precast concrete cover slabs where pedestrian or vehicular crossing is required. Sections are typically Class 25 or Class 30 concrete, internal widths from 150 mm to 900 mm, in standard lengths of 0.5 m to 1.5 m. Cover slabs are sold separately. Also known as longkang U or saluran konkrit U.
