WHAT IT IS

Glazed ceramic (salt-glazed stoneware) drain pipes are traditional below-ground drainage pipes used in Malaysian gravity sewerage and yard drainage, particularly in older and heritage renovation projects. The glazed surface resists soil chemicals and root penetration. Supplied in standard 550 mm lengths with internal diameters of 100 mm (4"), 150 mm (6"), 225 mm (9"), and 300 mm (12"). Gully traps and 90° bends are available as matching fittings. Increasingly replaced by uPVC SWV and VCP (MS EN 295) in new construction, but still specified for matched replacement in heritage work.
