PVC corner beads are extruded L-profile strips with perforated flanges used in Malaysian construction to reinforce external wall corners in skim coat and plaster finishes. The flanges embed in wet skim coat or plaster before the finish coat is applied, protecting the corner from chipping and impact while providing a perfectly straight guide edge for the plasterer's float. Each piece is 2.5 m long; a box holds approximately 100 pieces. Profile size is typically 19 × 19 mm. Made from UV-stabilised PVC for long-term colour and brittleness resistance.
