Galvanised brickwork reinforcement mesh tape is a roll of narrow expanded-metal galvanised steel used to control cracking in block and brick walls in Malaysian construction. Embedded in horizontal mortar bed joints during laying, the tape distributes movement stresses and prevents visible surface cracks, particularly at junctions between dissimilar materials such as AAC block abutting RC columns. Each roll is 75 mm (3") wide × 36 m (120 ft) long. Galvanising minimum G60 zinc coating resists mortar alkalinity for long-term durability in humid Malaysian conditions. Sold by roll.
