A turbine ventilator throat flashing (base plate) is a profile-matched waterproofing component that seals the penetration where a turbine ventilator or roof vent passes through the roofing sheet. Fabricated in aluminium or lead, formed to replicate the exact corrugation or trapezoidal profile of the host roofing sheet (e.g., Trimdek, corrugated, standing seam). A self-sealing mastic or neoprene gasket at the base prevents water ingress at the roof penetration. Throat collar is sized to match the ventilator diameter (8", 12", or 14"). Critical in Malaysia's high-rainfall tropical climate to prevent leaks at any roof penetration point. Typically supplied with a turbine ventilator set or purchased separately.

A ventilated roof ridge or eave batten strip is a perforated or louvred accessory fitted along the ridge line or eave of a Malaysian roof to allow passive air circulation within the roof cavity. It reduces heat buildup, prevents moisture condensation, and extends the service life of the roof tiles, underlay membrane, and timber structure. Fabricated in fibre cement or PVC; typical lengths 1.2 m or 2.4 m; widths 100–300 mm. Installed under concrete and clay interlocking roof tiles in residential and light commercial construction across Malaysia. Also known by proprietary names such as Primavent.
